Description

Sources Sought: Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore has a backlog of cataloging in the museum collection. The collection includes items ranging from historic photographs and blueprints to furniture and farm machinery. The items must be cataloged for accountability and to facilitate use of the collection and its information. In addition, a number of items in the collection with incomplete catalog data must have their records checked for accuracy and must have missing data added to the records. The Scope of Work includes: 1) Cataloging records will be prepared for museum collection items using information provided by the national lakeshore staff. 2) Items will be labeled with their catalog number or relabeled if illegible. 3) Archeological artifacts, photographs, documents, and other archival items will be inventoried in order to correct faulty catalog information and to addinformation to existing but incomplete catalog forms, and 4) Catalog information will be entered into the National Park Service Automated National Catalog System +, a customized version of Re:discovery for Windows, a museum collection management program.
