Description

The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System located in Gainesville, Florida and requires assistance in establishing a quality operating system for our medical center.Immediate attention and results in the creation of an infrastructure for reducing the cycle time in our clinics and all areas of the medical center in an extremely rapid, ongoing systems improvement process is our goal. This study will address and resolve process improvement issues while training VA personnel to carry on this process throughout the medical center in the future through process redesign procedures. Offeror must have experience in a Health Care setting conducting performance improvement activities using the "Kaizen Blitz" methodology or similar methodology which ensures rapid results and the ability to statistically quantify results. This concept has been done in the manufacturing world and this contract would encompass those ideas into the health care arena. Solicitations will be available approximately 11/15/00. No requests will be accepted after that date. The study will begin by January 2, 2001 or earlier if possible.
