R -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR CATALOGING,FILING AND MAILING SERVICES TO SUPPORT THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, DENVER SERVICE CENTER SOL 1443-CX-2000-99-002 POC Point of Contact -Edward L. The National Park Service, Denver Service Center, 12975 West Alameda Parkway, Denver, Colorado 80225, is seeking contractor(s), firm(s) or individual(s) to provide cataloging mailing, and filing services to support the Denver Service Center's Contracting Office, Technical Information Center, and Library. The Government may elect to award a single task order contract or to award multiple task order contracts for the services to be provided to two or more sources under this solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award contracts, based on the selection board's final selection list, in order of preference, of the firms or individuals considered most highly qualified to perform the work. Each awardee shall be provided a fair opportunity to be considered for task orders to be issued. The Government will use such factors as past performance, quality of deliverables, or other factors that the Contracting Officer, in the exercise of sound business judgment, believes are relevant to the placement of orders. The National Park Service, Denver Service Center (DSC) is the central contracting office for major planning, design, and construction projects for the National Park Service. Hundreds of contract documents are processed every year by the DSC Contracting Office. The DSC is also home to the Technical Information Center (TIC) for the National Park Service. TIC is the oldest and largest information system in the National Park Service. It is the central repository for NPS generated planning, design, and construction drawings, as well as related technical report documents. TIC provides document delivery for each item indexed in their database. These items exist in the following formats: architectural drawings, aperture cards, microfiche, electronic files, aerial photographs, videotapes, photographs, technical reports, and pamphlets. The collection size is approximately 750,000 unique items. The TIC also manages the planning and design project correspondence for the Denver Service Center. Additionally, the DSC Library consists of books, periodicals, vendor catalogs, government publications, microfiche, microfilm, rare books, and a select number of audiovisual items. The main library is organized according to the Library of Congress classification system and the Technical Publications Library is organized according to the Construction Specifications Institute categories. Seven Branch Libraries were recently established to move the resources closer to the employees. The main purpose of the library is to provide research assistance for the employees of the Denver Service Center. Information gained can assist the staff performing their jobs as architects, designers, planners, engineers, historians, administrators, interpreters, scientists and conservation specialists. The contractor(s) selected under this solicitation shall provide all necessary personnel to process, file, mail and/or catalog the technical reports, drawings, maps, photographs, publications, correspondence, etc. generated by the Denver Service Center's Contracting, Planning, Design, and Construction groups. The contractor shall provide supervisory personnel to supervise all work performed. All work will be performed at the National Park Service, Denver Service Center, 12795 W.Alameda Parkway, Denver, Colorado. Contract work will be performed under an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract(s) and task orders will be issued defining the scope of services for each year as funding becomes available. The total of all task orders each year will not exceed $200,000. Each individual task order will not exceed $100,000. The contractor(s) will be guaranteed a minimum of $25,000 during the life of the contract. The term of this contract(s) shall be one year with four one-year options. A Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued approximately 15 days from the issuance of this notice. Requests for the RFP must be made in writing. Requests for the RFP may be FAXed to 303 969-2040.
