Prevention is planning to make award of a contract to design and
implement a multi-year intervention study that will establish the
theoretical and behavioral science base for the development of family
centered diabetes education programs targeting African American and
Latino persons and their families with recently diagnosed Type 2
diabetes. The scheduled issue date of this solicitation is
approximately July 1, 1998. All responses should clearly note the
solicitation number 98A173(N). No telephone requests for copies of the
RFP will be accepted. However, requests transmitted via facsimile or
