The solicitation will include but is not limited to control plastic and metal knobs and dials, dial plastic windows, dial and/or meter glass windows, meter pointer adjusters, observation glass optical and non-glass windows, knob lock dials and scale dials. All items are sold commercially and they will be classified by technical difficulty. Prospective contractors will be required to develop and maintain an on-line Electronic Cataloging System listing all required 5355 items with a delivery schedule of 24 hours after receipt of order on (urgent requirement), 3 days for cataloged items, and 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days for non-cataloged items. The Contractor will also be required to maintain quality in accordance with DOD and industry standards, and to maintain accurate records and reports on any discrepancies such as discontinued parts, obsolete parts, superseded parts, etc. The on-line capability should commence within one year of the contract effective date. Prospective contractors should be able to adequately support purchases that will range from $1,252,809.00 for the initial year and totaling $6,264,045.00 exercisingthe four option years of the contract. The maximum dollar value is contingent on the number of option years exercised during the life of the contract. The subject solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis with the resultant contract being an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for one base year with four (4) one-year term options.
