Interested vendors are encouraged to request samples of these languages in writing, and to identify briefly their relevant language capabilities (one page or less, original and one copy). This notice is not a request for proposal. Any resulting request for proposals/quotations will be based upon more detailed technical specifications for the approximately 800 monographs involved, among these: immediate start-up, adhering to LC minimum level cataloging, OCLC input standards, and specified transliteration tables; adding customer furnished control numbers in specified MARC fields;and transferring OCLC MARC communications format records, via ftp, to the customer.
