Everglades National Park is soliciting bids to eradicate Melaleuca on 7400 acres in East Everglades located approximately 10 miles northwest of Homestead, FL. Contractor will provide labor, equipment, transportation, and herbicide necessary to accomplish surveillance, cutting, and direct tree herbicide applications. Access is restricted to helicopter and airboat transportation. Tree density guidelines will be provided, but site inspections by bidders will be necessary to determine the extent and densities of Melaleuca in each treatment unit. Applicable SIC is 0851. (299)
