Drake, (415)604- 3002, Fax: (415)604-4646 NASA Ames Research Center is seeking sources to provide Library Acquisitions and Cataloging services to six NASA Libraries located at four (4) Centers; one (1) each at Moffett Field and Edwards, CA, one (1) in Cleveland Ohio and one (1) in Hampton VA. The Government intends to issue a Fixed-Price Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract and anticipates multiple awards. The contract will have a five year performance period consisting of a one (1) year base period, with four one (1) year option periods. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code in 8999 and the size standard is $ 3.5 million. The overall scope of work, the majority of which is anticipated to be performed at the contractor's place of business, includes purchasing, cataloging and technical pro cessing of library materials including, but not limited to: books, journals, reports, dissertations, video and audio tapes, CD roms, standards, specifications and translations. The items to be purchased will be specified by order lists from each Center. Interested sources must have access to the STILAS Cataloging System. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to respond to the soures sought synopsis. Interested sources should provide a capability statement to the address listed below. This state ment should include the following: 1) name and address of firm; 2) size of business: revenue and number of employees; 3) owner ship, i.e. large/Small/Small Disadvantaged/ 8(a) / or Woman Owned; 4) year firm established; 5) names of two principals to contact, including title and telephone number; 6) list of prior Government or commercial contracts for similar services over the past five years, including contract number, contact name and telephone number, dollar value, description of contract and performance period. Your capability statement is required by September 10, 1996. This synopsis is for information and planning only. All information submitted is at offeror's own expense. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evalua tion. Government reserves the right to consider a small business set aside based upon the responses received. The Government anticipates release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) on or before October 1, 1996. Anticipated contract performance will begin on March 1, 1997.
