This is to notify industry that the Naval Sea Systems Command, PMS378 (CVX Program Office) will be conducting a follow-on industry briefing for the CVX Aircraft Carrier Program. The purpose of this follow-on briefing will be to further discuss industry involvement in the concept exploration phase of the ship development. Topics to be discussed during this briefing will be: (1) industry participation in CVX Engineering Process Teams (EPTs) on a contractual and non-contractual basis, (2) industry support to CVX COEA findings through modeling and simulation studies, (3) types of information to be available on the World Wide WEB via the CVX Home Page, and (4) set up and types of information to be provided via access to a proposed CVX Technical Library. In addition, written responses to inquiries submitted at the 17 July 1996 Industry Briefing will be provided. Time for a question and answer period during the follow-on brief will be included in the agenda. The follow-on industry briefing will be on 19 September 1996 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel 2799 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202. The briefing will begin at 9:30 am with an estimated duration time of 1 to 2 hours. This briefing is open to all industry. Companies should notify NAVSEA in advance of their intent to attend the briefing. Attendance notifications should be faxed to Mr. Ken Jalowiec at (703) 602-7360.
