Abney/Lbkb/912-926-7357 The Air Force contemplates issuing a firm fixed price contract under full and open competition for acquisition of design, engineering, trial installation, trial installation kit, data, kit proof kit, production kits, Interim Contractor Support (ICS) and support equipment for Modification Nr. 8385, Modification title, AN-AAQ-22A, Low Cost Forward looking Infrared System applicable to the HC-130N/P Aircraft. The objective of this effort is to insall the AN-AAQ-22A Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) on the NHC- 130N/P aircraft to provide night viewing capability. The AN-AAQ-22A FLIR will be provided as Government Furnished Material (GFM). The contract will have two phases. The first will consist of the design and test phase for the installation of the FLIR. Integration will be compatible with both the AN-AAQ-21 and AN-AAQ-22 system. Test phase will consist of trial installation. Qualification Test and Evaluation (QT&E) will consist of Electronmagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility testing to verify integration. Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) will be performed. Second Phase consists of fabrication of an additional 7 kits for future installs. Evaluation will be based upon price and price related factors of the technically acceptable proposal and past performance history.
