Provide: (a) Cataloging services utilizing the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) database and the SIL Online Catalog. Cataloging must be of a professional quality using the Library of Congress (LC) classification and current subject headings and and the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules. Location is primarily contractors facilities for cataloging services with some work being accomplished at the Smithsonian Libraries located in Washington, D.C. Provide: (b) Cataloging support services to include editing Bibliographic, Copy Holdings, MARC Holdings, and Item records of the SIL online catalog, reclassing items from Dewey to LC, reclassing items from LC-type BAE (Bureau of American Ethonology) call numbers, barcoding items, creating online item records, updating related manual files such as the serial record cards, reshelving materials in LC call number order after they have been reclassed, providing photocopies of title pages of materials as needed to provide control of materials, filing title pages, and matching title pages with books upon reture to the SIL. These activities will take place at one of the central cataloging units or one of SIL's branch libraries located in the Washington metropolitan area.
