Description

Request for Information (RFI) This Request for Information (RFI) is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense. 1.0 INTRODUCTION The Department of Defense, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), on behalf of the Department of War Office of Inspector General, is issuing this RFI to identify sources capable of providing the exact Aimpoint Acro P-2 Modular Optic System (MOS) detailed in the specifications below. Notice: This requirement is sole source for Aimpoint sights only. No substitutions, alternatives, or ""or equal"" products will be accepted. 2.0 BACKGROUND The Department of War Office of Inspector General requires red dot sights for handguns. The sights must meet the exact salient characteristics outlined in this RFI to ensure they meet the operational needs of the agency. The Government has determined that only the specified Aimpoint product fulfills these critical mission requirements. 3.0 REQUESTED INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS The Government is seeking information on the availability of the following item from authorized Aimpoint distributors or resellers: Product: Aimpoint Acro P-2 Modular Optic System (MOS) Quantity: 240 Part Number: Aluminum Battery Cap #201006 Compatible with GLOCK G19 (Gen5) Pre-Cut Slide PA195S3G02MOS7 Salient Characteristics 3.5 MOA Red Dot Battery type: 3V Lithium battery, CR2032Battery life: Over 5 years (50,000 hours) of continuous use at position 6/107075-T6 High-strength Aluminum Hard-anodized Submersible up to 35 m / 115 feet Temperature range -50� to +160� F Weight: 60 g / 2.1 ounces Package includes: CR2032 Battery, Aimpoint T10 Tool (RED Wrenching Tool) Size: 1.9� x 1.3� x 1.2� (L x W x H) Period of Delivery: No later than September 1, 2026 4.0 SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS Interested parties are requested to submit a response that includes the following details: Company Information: Name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, CAGE code, and small business size status. Capability Statement: A brief description of your company's capability to provide the exact specified product (e.g., proof of authorized reseller/distributor status for Aimpoint). Availability: Information on the availability of the exact product, including expected lead times for delivery.
