- POsting for informational purposes. This has been award Sole Source due to ONLY ONE SOURCE REASONABLY AVAILABLE. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR SSDG#1 Heat Exchanger 1. OBJECTIVE The objective of this Statement of Work is to overhaul a heat exchanger from the USCGC JAMES' Ship Service Diesel Generator #1 (SSDG#1) to ensure its proper functionality and operational readiness. IAW CG Maintenance Procedure card M-C-101O. Vendor shall disassemble and clean all components of the SSDG Heat Exchanger. Upon inspection submit CFR to CG POC listed below if additional maintenance is needed. 2. SCOPE OF WORK Disassembly: Disassemble the heat exchanger provided by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). Inspection: Thoroughly inspect all components of the heat exchanger for wear, damage, corrosion, or other defects. Cleaning: Clean all heat exchanger components to remove any accumulated debris, scale, or contaminants. Testing: Test the heat exchanger components for leaks and proper functionality after cleaning. Specific testing methods will be determined based on industry best practices and the heat exchanger's design. Re-assembly: Re-assemble the heat exchanger using new gaskets and seals. The USCG will provide sixty-five (65) of the 149-2209 seals and three (3) of the 151-5257 seals from their existing stock for this purpose. Additional Parts Quote (if needed): Following disassembly and inspection, if additional parts beyond the provided seals are deemed necessary, the vendor shall provide a separate, detailed quote to the USCG for those parts. No additional parts will be ordered or installed without prior written approval from the USCG. 3. Location and Logistics: The USCG personnel will be responsible for transporting the heat exchanger to the BMC Summerville location. The USCG personnel will also be responsible for picking up the overhauled heat exchanger from the BMC Summerville location upon completion of the work. 4. DELIVERABLES Overhauled and re-assembled heat exchanger, ready for installation. Inspection report detailing the condition of the heat exchanger components prior to overhaul. Testing report documenting the results of the leak and functionality tests. If required, a separate detailed quote for any additional parts needed beyond the provided seals. 5.
