- Description
- The National Park Service, Blue Ridge Parkway, has a requirement for drinking water testing. The contractor shall provide all office labor, testing equipment, containers, materials and technical supervision (via telephone) required to ship and return sampling materials to water system operators; test samples for total/fecal coliform, nitrate/nitrite, and raw water MPN; report sample results to system operator, contract officers technical representative (COTR) and respective State officials. No sample gathering labor will be required by the Contractor. The Parkway operates and maintains 40 drinking water systems throughout the Park for visitor or employee use. Federal and State regulations mandate regular testing of these systems during periods of operation as follows: Two Total Coliform tests per month One Nitrate/Nitrite test per year One Raw Water MPN test per year (VA only) Attached Performance Work Statement for complete requirement details. TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm Fixed Price 100% small business set-aside procurement. The NAICS code is 541380 Testing Laboratories and Services $19M The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price commercial contract based on the quote that represents the best value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 19, Small Business Programs. Period of Performance 7/1/2025 to 6/30/2026 SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Federal Acquisition Regulations require that federal contractors register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://www.sam.gov and enter all mandatory information into the system. Award cannot be made until the contractor has registered. Interested Offerors are encouraged to ensure that they are registered in SAM prior to submitting their quote.
