- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, material, supervision, and any other items necessary to properly install (2) new automatic push button activated handicap door openers (Push side, 120 VAC, 3A, 60Hz), (2) new Handicap door push switch kits (consisting of 2 switches, 2 transmitters, and 1 receiver), and (2) new Pigtail 14/3 9ft Power cords on the front doors of the Dyess AFB CDC (BLDG. 8150). A pre-proposal site visit is recommended in accordance with the Request for Proposal requirement, with the presence of a Civil Engineer (CE) Project Planner, for all Contractors submitting proposals to properly identify all material, dimensions, specifications, and work requirements. The Contractor shall be prepared, at the pre-proposal site visit, to gather all information needed to provide the Government an accurate quote. A second pre-proposal site visit shall not be permitted if adequate information was gathered at the pre-proposal site visit. The Contractor shall contact the Contracting Officer if any discrepancies are found The Contractor shall prepare a material submittal for approval by the Government prior to ordering or installing any material. Once the material submittals are approved, a notice to proceed will be issued. The Contractor shall order all materials after notice to proceed is issued, and work shall commence within thirty (30) days upon receipt of materials. The Contractor shall include detailed line items in their quote provided to the Government. A �lump sum� quote shall not be acceptable. Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be minimized to the maximum extent possible. Based off the Statement of Work and materials needed for the proposed task, Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) estimates a period of performance of 10 days to complete the desired project.
