- NOTICE OF AWARD � SBA 8(a) Sole Source, Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron-1 (MAWTS-1), located at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, CA. hereby gives notice of awarding under executed Con# M6739925P0026 dtd 24 April 2025 for SBA 8(a) sole source contract Req # JS1741879559Q to Kent, Campa, and Kate, Inc., 6DFT2. In accordance with FAR 19.805-1 Non-Competitive 8(a), and FAR 19.804-3 Agency Offering, this office offers the following requirement to the Small Business Administration (SBA) under section 8(a) Business Development (BD) Program. THIS NOTICE OF AWARD - THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This requirement is to provide the service-level training needed to qualify and produce Weapons and Tactics Instructors (WTIs). The WTI Course is a service-led tactical training course that emphasizes integrated training between all facets of aviation, aviation ground support and supporting arms working within the Marine Air Command and Control System while in support of a Marine Air Ground Task Force and joint scheme of maneuver. Period of Performance: 27 April 2025 through 26 October 2028, including an optional 6-month extension of services in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.217-8. Contracting Specialist Pedro Tirado, pedro.tirado@usmc.mil Contracting Officer GySgt Marcus Schnars marcus.schnars@usmc.mil The contractor will provide one individual for the PS/DTS coordinator who will be responsible for providing requisite knowledge of the squadron�s mission, process and protocols to maximize the communication of MAWTS-1 with headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC). As the DTS coordinator, they will possess the knowledge required to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability in support of high operational requirements. One individual will be provided by the contractor for the OS who will serve a critical and vital role in ensuring MAWTS-1 meets Commandants Planning Guidance (CPG) with regard to exercise design and execution in terms of quality, schedule, and cost/price. OS is equally critical in ensuring service continuity within the senior leadership of the Operations Department. Both PS and OS will be required to resolve a variety of conventional flight training problems, questions and situations. This contractual effort will enable MAWTS-1 to sustain and improve its quality of training. MAWTS-1 requires a Period of Performance (POP) from 27 April 2025 through 26 October 2028, including an optional 6-month extension of services in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.217-8.
