- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Dune Climb Well Replacement project for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Empire, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to Drill new well approximately 90 feet deep. Connect well to comfort station water system and electrical, approximately 111 lineal feet with approved 2"" water service line prior to water meter. Well is to be on dedicated circuit and have a ball valve in the utility room for isolation when adjacent well is in operation. Old well is to be abandoned to include digging, cutting pipe below grade, filling well casing with approved material, and capping. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6425Q0042 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000 TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early July 2015 with performance to begin in July 2025. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Leelanau County, MI will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237110, and the size standard is $45.0 million. This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued and available early June 2025 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities . The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have an UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
