For parking lot Q, you can work throughout the entire weekend, starting on Friday 5:00PM Sunday 5:00AM. Will there be any extension of the time frame? We can extend based on what you might propose if current timeframe is not realistic. Will the three (3) lots be available at the same time and for the duration of the project? As per the scope of work, All work can be completed during normal business hours of Monday Friday 8:00AM 5:00PM except for Parking Lot Q, which is to be completed from Friday 5:00PM Sunday 5:00AM. Each parking lot will be done in separate phases. sidewalk and curd details and specs throughout all three (3) lots Can you provide details and specs for the sidewalk? PCI of the concrete? Wire mesh or not? Thickness?? Any bedding?? Sidewalk thickness is 4-inch. Match existing. 6 x 6 W2.9 x W2.9 wire welded fabric. Use RCA to level out the elevation for the bottom of the sidewalk. See attached for sidewalk detail. Can you provide any details and specs for the curbs? Hight above and below ground? Rebar? PCI of concrete? 6 x 18 One #5 continuous rebar at the top of the curb attached to a #4 at 24 vertical dowel. See attached for curb detail. LOT C- proposed new concrete sidewalk Proposed new sidewalk will be about 8-12 below existing soil grade. Is there any detail that will address the difference in elevation? Grade the remaining of the area? Install knee wall? Grade the remaining area. Fire Hydrant relocation will be performed by FD, or should we include it in our scope?? Who is doing the shut off? Any requirements by Fire Department for alternating the location of this Fire Hydrant?? FD will be doing the shut off but will not be doing the relocation. Please include in your scope. The requirements for alternative/relocating the fire hydrant will be to push it back to enable enough space for a new sidewalk. - Curb replacement at lot C Curb replacement at the above area of lot C will most probably damage/deteriorate further the sidewalk. Should we provide allowance for this sidewalk repair?? Yes, as part of the add alternative for curb replacement. - Base repair allowance As we pointed out on the walkthrough, the base below the top layer of asphalt seems to be damaged on few areas throughout the three (3) lots, Would there be any allowance for base repair or will be issued as a change order? Please add an allowance for base repair. 6. If our bonding capacity is not sufficient, can we utilize our subcontractor's bonding capacity to meet the bonding requirements? No, this should come from the Primary contractor. The sidewalk thickness is not specified in the documents. Typically, it is 4"". Can you confirm the required thickness for this project? Sidewalk thickness is 4-inch. Match existing. 6 x 6 W2.9 x W2.9 wire welded fabric. Could you provide the dimensions for the curb? 6 x 18 One #5 continuous rebar at the top of the curb attached to a #4 at 24 vertical dowel. The striping quantities are listed, but since milling and paving will remove all existing striping, does the scope include full removal and replacement of all parking lot striping? Yes, the scope include full removal and replacement of all parking lot striping. For Parking Lot Q are the curb ramps part of the base bid or add alternates? 4 ADA Curb ramp 7 each. 8 ADA Curb ramp - 1 each Add alternates. If above items are part of add alternates, we do not have separate line item in the bid form provided with amendment # 1. Also no description available for add alternates in the bid documents. Please advise. Contracting, please advise or alter the bid document to allow contractor to show add-alternates. Do you have any details on the sidewalk? Sidewalk thickness is 4-inch. Match existing. 6 x 6 W2.9 x W2.9 wire welded fabric. What do you mean by crosswalk? Sidewalk? Concrete? Asphalt? Just crosswalk striping? Crosswalk referenced in parking lot C is just a crosswalk striping. You are having us remove concrete what is the depth of concrete in these areas? Depth is unknown at this time. Please field verify. Are you looking for us to provide line striping for each parking lot? Once we mill and overlay the lots will need to be restriped? Yes. After the job is complete, all new striping must match what is there now. On the Google Earth drawing for parking lot A, it says 150 LF of striping. That is not the entire lot, so I am confused at to what you are looking for. The same for parking lot C and Q. For parking lot A, 150LF means that the space spans 150 feet. This 150 feet is not currently stripped. This will be new striping. The spacing in between each new strip shall match existing space between other striping in same lot. For parking lot C, new striping refers to crosswalk striping. Parking Lot Q does not mention any new striping from what is existing. This means that all new stripping must be replaced with what is currently existing. Are you looking for line striping for parking lot Q? It doesn t state it on the drawing. Yes, as mentioned in the scope of work, In addition, the striping of the roads, including the striping of the cross sections of roads/parking lot striping, in-kind striping to what is existing. This means that the existing striping must remain. Obviously, you will remove them, mill and fill, and then strip new to match existing striping layout. Do you have details for the concrete pad? What is the depth of concrete? Is there rebar? Dumpster concrete pad is 10 x12 x10 Thick, compressive strength 5000 psi with #5 at 10 top and bottom. Provide a perimeter haunch to a depth of 18 inches. Can you provide any clarification on the mill and fill scope. We see they mention mill 3"" and replace 3"" for the roadway but I don't see what they are looking for in the parking lots? Also depths on the binder and top? The parking lot will have the same 3 or match existing roadside thickness. Please provide site visit roster. See attached. Can the Site Superintendent serve as Site Superintendent, Quality Assurance Manager, and Safety Manager? Yes. Documents says 3"" of asphalt, is this 3"" compacted? Is it one lift or two lifts? We will be using two lifts, scarify 1-1/2 binder course with a 1-1/2 top layer. Also I am seeing that it is SuperPave Asphalt- can you confirm this? Correct. Project duration 15 calendar days is not enough time. Need at least 2 weeks cure time before seal coast new asphalt. Also need cure time on concrete before try to roll against it. Please advise. We can accommodate to what s realistic. Please provide a timeline.
