- Statement of Work Kitchen Equipment Needs for Kitchen Renovation & Implementation of Room Service at the Syracuse VAMC May 2024 GENERAL INFORMATION Title of Project: Kitchen Equipment Needs for Kitchen Renovation & Implementation of Room Service at the Syracuse VA Medical Center Type of Contract Contemplated: Firm/Fixed This is a brand name or equal procurement. If responding to this request, please provide the brand name or equal kitchen equipment that will be provided. Also note that the chef table must be custom made to meet the precise specification provided. SCOPE The scope of this contract is to procure and install all the necessary commercial kitchen equipment to transition the Syracuse VA Medical Center s Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) operation to Room Service. Room Service is the gold-standard and Veteran-centric, allowing Veterans to order what they want to eat, when they feel hungry, and food is prepared to order. The Syracuse VA s main NFS kitchen will undergo a renovation (project number 528A7-18-716 Renovate Main Kitchen). Implementation of Room Service will be timed with the completion of the renovation project to include installation of all the necessary equipment to be procured under this contract. Vendor to coordinate delivery and/or installation of equipment with Syracuse VAMC POC as some items can be received right away and others need to be timed with the kitchen renovation project phasing. Contractor will provide all material, labor, equipment and services required to execute and complete all items of work relating to the food service equipment, both existing and new, all as required to make the resulting facility a fully functional and reliable operating unit in accordance with this specification. All food service equipment shall be furnished as specified, delivered prepaid, unloaded and uncrated, assembled, set-in-place in proper location as indicated on the drawings, leveled and fastened to the wall, ceiling or floor as required, left ready for final utility connections. Please refer to the attached Section 11400 specifications for details of the work required. The C&A requirements do not apply; a Security Accreditation Package is not required. Alternate products by other manufacturer s may be considered if equivalent in design, performance, durability and function; however, must be compatible with the Utility Distribution System (UDS) that will be installed during our kitchen renovation project (528A7-18-716 Renovate Main Kitchen).
