- Description
- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Replace Nurse Call System Project # 652-21-102 The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS), 1201 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, Virginia, 23249 seeks interested construction services sources to provide all facets of work, which includes, but is not limited to demolition, architectural, structural, electrical, electronics/security, telecommunications, and healthcare technology systems, to facilitate a successful upgrade of the existing facility nurse call/code blue system and any associated infrastructure. The project shall include, but is not limited to, upgrading nurse call/code blue system hardware and software, user terminals, patient room devices, notification/signaling devices, and any interconnecting data infrastructure. The project shall be phased in such a way to minimize and, if possible, avoid nurse call/code blue system outages. The work shall be performed in strict accordance with construction drawings and specifications prepared by Department of Veterans Affairs. The Government is considering the HillRom brand name, as detailed in the attached list, to fill this requirement for the nurse call system as this strategy appears to be the most advantageous to the VA considering technical suitability and costs as well as other factors, such as delays in acquiring and adapting new equipment, connectivity between existing equipment and data transmission. This requirement is anticipated to be 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside. Bids will be solicited only from SDVOSB concerns and bids received from firms that are not SBA s VetCert verified, shall not be considered. These items will be needed in May of 2025. Interested sources will not receive formal notification or feedback on any information submitted to this Sources Sought Notice. All future/proposed submissions/solicitations requirements solicited on a Government Point of Entry (GPE) will be evaluated independent of any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. No vendor will be provided information on solicitations issued on a Government Point of Entry based on this Sources Sought Notice. The NAICS code for this project is 236220: Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with Size Standard of $45 million. An Invitation for Bid is contemplated in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14: An Invitation for Bid (IFB) with approximately 30-day response time after issuance of solicitation. Pursuant to VAAR 836-204 Magnitude of Construction, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Potential sources are to respond by email ONLY to Contracting Officer Ms. Madeline Lucena-Pulst at madeline.lucena-pulst.gov and copy Contract Specialist Moses Deng at moses.deng2@va.gov with the subject line Replace Nurse Call System on or no later than March 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, and provide Capability Statement describing their ability to meet the requirements, including providing the following information: Company Name: Address: Contact Name: Phone No: Email: SAM UEI: In addition, responses must include recommendation on alternate nurse call systems for domestic brands that meet or exceed quality and capabilities of the HillRom system with supporting documentation. Please see attached Market Survey spreadsheet provided for your convenience. Responses are voluntary and appreciated. This is NOT a solicitation for Bids, Quotes or Proposals. All information gathered will be used solely for planning purposes. The results of this notice will help identify a procurement strategy, including a set-aside, if appropriate. No other information is available currently. The Government reserves the right to cancel this Sources Sought Notice, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
