- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO MODIFY AN EXISITING SUPPLIES CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Heathcare Contracting Division-West (HCD-W), San Diego, intends to modify contract HT941024P0151 for Medical Gases and Dry Ice in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) Sole Source acquisitions and FAR 13.106-1(b), only one responsible source being available to meet the Government�s needs, to: Airgas USA, LLC 3737 Worsham Ave Long Beach, CA 90808-1774 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325120 � Industrial Gas Manufacturing; the business size standard is 1,000 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6835 � Medical Gases. The objective of this sole source modification is to add medical gases delivery and cylinder services for Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), dry ice delivery for the 15th Medical Group (MDG) and medical gases delivery for Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Veterinary Clinic to the current contract that provides medical gases for Naval Health Clinic Hawaii and its associated Medical Treatment Facilities. The anticipated modification will start on 1 March 2025 during the option year one period of performance and continue on through the remaining option periods 2 through 4 (1 March 2025 � 30 September 2028). The contractor shall perform the following services of dry ice deliveries in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). Also attached is the list of estimated quantities and item description of medical gases for TAMC. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide the required services for TAMC, 15th MDG and the JBPHH Veterinary Clinic. Capability statements shall not exceed six (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any capability statements received will be considered for future procurements however due to time constraints we are moving forward with a modification.
