- Pursuant to 13.106-1(b), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to solicit from a single source with National Academy of Sciences for Co-Sponsorship of the 15th National Conference on Transportation Asset Management with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The conference will cover a broad range of asset management topics to help transportation agencies manage their infrastructure assets to meet their needs today and in the future. This year�s conference will focus on emerging trends, data-driven approaches, and tactical practices that are shaping the future of infrastructure management. Researchers, practitioners, and industry experts are encouraged to discuss case studies, research findings, and practical solutions that highlight advancements and insights in asset management for transportation systems including both highways and transit. Topics of Interest for Conference discussions are as follows: � Asset Management Practices (Including Case Studies) � Extreme Weather and Asset Management (Including Resilience) � Risk and Asset Management � Communicating Asset Management Process and Results � Innovative Concepts in Asset Management � Data Practices in Asset Management � Tactical Practices in Asset Management (e.g., Inventory and Condition Monitoring) National Academy of Sciences is the only association that National Conference on Transportation Asset Management. Participating in the National Conference improves the ability and efficiency to coordinate and collaborate on international road research. The development of collaboration platforms is critical for FHWA to gain research and technology from countries that face the same challenges as the United States highway transportation network and to introduce U.S. highway innovations among National Academy of Sciences member countries. The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm�s capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort.
