SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the AN/ALR-56M RWR Shipset - NSN: 1680-K0-107-337AVM; PN: 333001-012 ITEM DESCRIPTION: The AN/ALR-56M Advanced Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) System is used on F-16 and C- 130J aircraft for DOD and FMS customers. The ALR-56M RWR system enhances aircrew survivability by continuously detecting and intercepting Radio Frequency (RF) signals in various frequency ranges. This system was designed to improve situational awareness by analyzing and separating modern threat signals from non-threat signals in various combat environments. The AN/ALR-56M RWR interfaces with jamming, countermeasures, and aircraft avionics equipment. The AN/ALR- 56M RWR operates with the most advanced active electronically scanned array radar (AESA). IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION: The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the AN/ALR-56M RWR system is BAE Systems Information and Electronics Systems Integration, CAGE code 81413, which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any proprietary software nor proprietary firmware or any other releasable software in support of this requirement. As a result, BAE Systems is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the AN/ALR-56M RWR System performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. INTEREST: The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to BAE Systems for the manufacture of the AN/ALR-56M RWR Systems in support of the F-16 and C-130J programs. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 27 FEB 2025 by emailing C. Will Wade, christopher.wade.17@us.af.mil and Chrissie Smith, christine.smith.20@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
