Description
The Cyber Division (CyD), Cyber Education and Training Unit (CETU) is tasked with providing training to law enforcement personnel who conduct computer intrusion investigations. CETU's priority is to identify and deliver core cyber training and continuing education offerings for the Cyber Investigators. CETU provides a combination of internal FBI courses in conjunction with external contractor classes to ensure that Cyber Investigators (FBI Employees and Federally deputized Task Force Officers) obtain necessary skills to investigate complex cyber matters. Please follow the instructions on the attached RFI document and complete both tabs of the technical questions. RFI Questions & Answers: Question 1. Provide a roadmap of what order of your courses will guide a student from novice to expert. Are you looking for role base training and if so, do you have any current examples of those roles? Answer: Not necessarily. The FBI will conduct its own internal role-based training specific to FBI scenarios. The FBI is looking to establish proficient technical foundations via 3rd party training in order to support more efficient internal, FBI-specific training. Question 2: Do you need any cyber industry certifications and if so, do the contractors or instructors need to be certified? Answer: The FBI requires that courses end with assessment of some sort (certification or otherwise) that can be reported to FBIs Program Managers for recording increased technical proficiency in students. The FBI expects technical proficiency in vendors instructors/contractors, which may be demonstrated by exceptional career record or certifications. Question 3: This RFI was posted on eBuy today as RFQ1742765 with a link to GSA MRAS. The RFI on GSA MRAS asks for past performance while this RFI asks not to submit past performance. Can you clarify? Answer: Past performance is not required for RFI submission.
