Description

In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy Section 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis for the FAA's decision to extend the ordering period of the Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract No. DTFACT-15-D-00007, AIRPORT TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TECHNICAL SUPPORT with General Dynamics Information Technology - SRA International on a single source basis. The current ordering period for this 5-year IDIQ contract ends 6/09/2020. The FAA anticipates extending the ordering period to 12/31/2020. The FAA also anticipates adding an option period for up to an additional 6-months (6/30/2021). This single source extension allows the FAA to avoid an unacceptable discontinuation of support while allowing sufficient time to complete the competition for follow-on contracts. Work under a Task Order that supports UAS related research efforts, is also anticipated to be extended until 6/30/2021 to complete competition requirements for a separate UAS competitive award. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparation of a response to this announcement.
