POE����������������������������������������������������������� PHONE: (717) 267-9481������������������������������������������������������������������������������� This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for a Quote (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.� Letterkenny Army Depot is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. You are advised that providing responses to this RFI will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for future solicitation. �Negative replies are also sought. Contractor should not include any pricing. Letterkenny Army Depot is seeking information concerning the availability of contractors to provide Emergency Lighting in support of Letterkenny Army Depot via a Requirements Contract type.� Supply of the Emergency Lighting is in accordance with the attached draft Salient Characteristics. For the purposes of this RFI, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335122 � Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Electric Lighting Fixture Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 500. If your firm is capable of performing the requirements described in this RFI, please provide a Capability Statement to Mr. Ryan Poe, ryan.t.poe.civ@mail.mil by 13 May 2020, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies of documents posted on beta.sam.gov will not be made available. SALIENT PURCHASE DESCRIPTION Emergency Lighting SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The emergency lighting provided under this specification must meet the requirements listed in Section 2 for Emergency Lights, Section 3 for Exit Light Combos, Section 4 for Remote Heads and Section 5 for Explosion Proof Exit light. EMERGENCY LIGHT: Emergency light shall feature all of the characteristics listed below in paragraphs 2.1.1 through 2.1.5. CONTSRUCTION: Emergency light shall be made of thermoplastic material that is 5VA flame rated. Emergency light shall permit a full range of direction of optical aiming.� Emergency light shall have a back-lit test switch with an easily visible multi-color LED status indicator. Emergency lights shall be oval shaped with an overall size of 13.37�L x 5.93�H x 3.7�D, and the back-plate shall be 11.26�L x 5.93�H. The emergency light shall have tool-less removal of the front cover from the back-plate and be capable of being mounted at heights ranging from 7.5 feet to 30 feet. OPTICS: Emergency light shall have two (2) high-performance LEDs rated at 3.3 watts per lamp head (6.6 watts total) that deliver a total of 640 lumens in a spot pattern (SP640L) ELECTRICAL: Emergency light shall have a Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery. SELF-DIAGNOSTICS AND REMOTE TEST: Emergency light shall be self-diagnosing and feature remote testing. Emergency light shall provide constant light output throughout the entire discharge period. Emergency light shall have an automatic 24-hour recharge after a 90-minute discharge. Emergency light shall continuously monitor AC functionality. �Emergency light shall perform self-diagnostic test for 5 minutes every 30 days and 90 minutes annually with the option to postpone automatic test for eight hours by activating manual test switch. LISTINGS: Emergency light shall meet all applicable requirements for UL 924, NFPA 101 (current life safety code), NFPA 70 (NEC), FCC and OSHA. EXIT LIGHT COMBO: Exit light combo shall feature all of the characteristics listed below in paragraphs 3.1.1 through 3.1.6. CONTSRUCTION: Exit light combo shall be made of thermoplastic material with a UL94V-0 flame rating. Exit light combo face-plate and back cover shall be interchangeable on the housing. Exit light combos shall have uniform graphics illumination without shadows or hot spots. Letters shall be 6� high with �� stroke with a 100 feet viewing distance based upon UL924 standard and RED in color. Exit light combos shall have low-profile, integrated test switch/pilot light, and easily visible bright red status indicator. Exit light combos shall have tool-less access for maintenance. Exit light combos has permit full range of direction of lamp head adjustment. Exit light combo shall have an overall size of 19.25�L x 8�H x 2.25�W, with the Face plate measuring 12�L x 8�H. Exit light combo shall have universal J-box mounting pattern and top (4 ��), end (5 5/8�), and back mounting capabilities and be capable of being mounted at heights ranging from 7.5 feet to 30 feet. OPTICS: Exit light combo shall have twin LED lamp heads that operate in emergency (DC input) mode with 12 series-parallel white LEDs in each head.�� ELECTRICAL: Exit light combos shall have dual-voltage input capability (120/277V) and short circuit protection. Battery shall be sealed, maintenance free, nickel-cadmium. SELF-DIAGNOSTICS: Exit light combo shall be self-diagnosing and perform self-diagnostic test for 30 seconds every 30 days, 30 minutes at 180 day intervals and 90 minutes annually. Test shall include evaluation of LED light source, AC to DC transfer, charging and battery condition. LISTINGS: Exit light combo shall be UL damp location listed standard 50 degrees to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees to 40 degrees Celsius).� Exit light combo shall meet all applicable requirements for UL 924, NFPA 101 (current life safety code), NEC and OSHA illumination standards. OTHER: Must be compatible with remote head listed in section 4. REMOTE HEAD: Remote head shall feature all of the characteristics listed below in paragraphs 4.1.1 through 4.1.4. � �CONSTRUCTION: Remote heads shall be made of thermoplastic material with a UL94V-0 flame rating, have twin heads and be fully adjustable to meet all aiming requirements. Remote heads shall be sealed, gasketed, and weather-proof for use in damp and wet locations. Lamp housing must snap off for easy lamp replacement. Remote heads shall mount to a single-gang switch box. OPTICS: Lamps shall have 12 series parallel, 1.5W white LEDs per head. LISTINGS: Remote heads shall be UL listed with damp location listed standard 50 degrees to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees to 40 degrees Celsius) and wet location listed 14 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit� (-10 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius) OTHER: Must be compatible with exit light combo listed in section 3. EXPLOSION PROOF EXIT LIGHT: Explosion proof exit light shall feature all of the characteristics listed below in paragraphs 5.1.1 through 5.1.5 CONSTRUCTION: Explosion proof exit lights shall be made of explosion proof materials with adjustable LED heads. Explosion proof exit lights shall have uniform graphics illumination without shadows or hot spots. Letters shall be a minimum of 6� high with �� stroke with a 100 feet viewing distance and RED in color. be capable of being mounted at heights ranging from 7.5 feet to 30 feet. � OPTICS: Explosion proof exit lights have LED lamp heads that operate in emergency (DC input) mode. ELECTRICAL: Explosion proof exit lights shall have dual-voltage input capability (120/277V) and short circuit protection. Battery shall be sealed, maintenance free, nickel-cadmium.
