Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is 70T05019Q9NREM205 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The acquisition is being conducted as a simplified acquisition pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 219-1. (iv) The acquisition is set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 238290 with a small business size standard of $15 million. (v) A list of line item numbers and items, estimated quantities, and units of measure (including options) is included as an attachment to this announcement. (vi) The requirement is for the removal of two existing reciprocating piston type air compressors and associated piping, replacing them with two identical new rotary screw compressors, refrigeration dryer and air tank combination units. A compressor condensate management system is required which will separate oil from the condensate water before discharging it safely outside. See attached Statement of Work for specific requirements. Paragraph (m) is added as follows: "(m) Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS). Quoters shall include their DUNS number in their quote." (ix) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items does not apply. The following evaluation procedures will be used: Award will be made using a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) selection process. Award may be made on initial quotations. Therefore, each initial quote should contain the quoter's best terms from a technical and price standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to contact quoters if it is later determined by the contracting officer to be necessary.
