- Description
- Emergency underground water line replacement at Pine Ridge Job Corps Center located in Chadron, NE. The work includes: 1. Provide equipment and operators to excavate approximately 300 linear feet of ditch (min depth 4'‐6" to 5') from 6" main near fire hydrant to north side of building as shown on attached plans. 2. Sawcut or core and remove existing concrete as necessary to allow pipe to be installed. 3. Provide and install 6" pipe bedding into open ditch excavation. 4. Provide and install 2" HDPE pipe into ditch excavation (butt fusion welded connections). 5. Provide and install 12" pipe bedding over top of 2" HDPE pipe. Install tracer wire according to manufacturer recommendations. 6. Provide equipment and operators to backfill open ditch. Provide and install Curb Stop (see detail) within 10 feet of connection to 6" water main. Install second curb stop 10-20 feet from the building. Exact location to be determined by the Center. 7. Install new shut off valve inside building (location to be determined by the Center) and connect new service to existing building water line. 8. Provide and place concrete patch as needed. 9. Disinfect fittings and lines prior to returning system to service. 10. Excavate, cut and cap existing water service tap at 6" main. The solicitation was issued orally per FAR 13.106-1 (c) as the original estimate was below $25,000, and was considered urgent per FAR 13.106-1 (a)(iii). The actual work was authorized in writing on September 6, 2018. The award is being issued so contractor can submit final payment for work performed. This award notice serves as the Governments requirement to synopize all awards over $25,000.00 as required per FAR 5.301 (a)(1) only, no further action will result from this announcement.
