RFI Solicitation: F1S0AK8086B002 Agency/Office: Air Force Test Center Location: AFTC - Air Force Test Center at Edwards AFB, CA Title: Aircraft Cooling Units (ACU) Description(s): Sources Sought Synopsis/Request for Information for the installation of ACU and associated equipment. This is a Market Survey for information only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified source and their size classifications (Small Business, Large Business, etc.). Please do not request a copy of the solicitations, as one does not exist. 1. Purpose: This is a sources sought synopsis in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources for the anticipated purchase of four (4) 45 ton DX PCA Fixed High Pressure Cooling Units (Model # PCA045) that will provide air-conditioning service and support to hangar related aircraft maintenance. 2. Requirement: Vendor must be to provide a unit cable of cooling air at 800CFM, 3psi static pressure, at minimum of 50 degrees F, and hold these parameters for a minimum of 8 continuous hours per day. This acquisition anticipates seeking a contractor who can provide and install the following: (4 each) 45 ton DX PCA Fixed High Pressure Cooling Units Input power: 480VAC, 3 PH., 60HX Unit has 8" output connection 1 each 15 ton bitzer compressor 1 each 30 ton bitzer compressor VFD for blower and fans 50 HP Vortron HP blower Blower Pre-Cool option Shock mounting supports Verde-ICE data communication package Two (2) outputs Military controller (4 each) Hose Assembly 100 feet high pressure lay flat hose, 8 inch cuff inlet, 4 inch cuff outlet with wear strip. (4 each) Hose Assembly 50 feet high pressure lay flat hose, 8 inch cuff inlet, 4 inch cuff outlet with wear strip. (8 each) Hose Reel PCA hose reel cart on castors with hand brake of high pressure ducts (4 each) ACU Controller Commissioning & Training 3. Information requested: The Government requests interested offerors that can fully support this requirement furnish the following information: A. Company name, address, points of contact, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. B. Information should include a brief description of experience in providing the type of support described above. Please include contract references relating to research and engineering expertise to include: contract number; agency supported, period of performance, original contract value, and Point of Contacts with current phone number. The information package must be clear, concise, and complete. The Air Force is under no obligation to provide feedback to the company, or to contact the company for clarification of any information submitted in response to this request. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this Notice. Issuing this RFQ is part of market research and for planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a promise to issue a RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply, action, activity, or service whatsoever. Further, the Government is not seeking proposals at this time. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this RFI. C. Identification of business size (small or large) and identify the socioeconomic disadvantaged category, as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 19 and should be currently listed in the System for Award Management. Small business size standards are published by the U.S. Small Business Administration and may be found at www.sba.gov/size/sizetable2002.html. The potential North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this procurement is 333415 (Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment). The Small Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. D. Any other information deemed useful to the Air Force. Information packages should be limited to no more than three pages. 4. Inquiries: Any qualified and interested companies responding to this announcement must be able to support all areas. NO partial support responses from industry will be accepted.
