- Solicitation STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENT: VENUE FOR SGTMAJ OF THE MARINE CORPS SYMPOSIUM INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND: The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps (SMMC) Symposium is an annual meeting of the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, and all General Officer level Sergeants Major, Master Gunnery Sergeants, and Navy Flag Officer level Command Master Chiefs assigned to the Marine Corps and their spouses to discuss significant issues confronting the Marine Corps. Required is a space of one large conference room to hold roughly 120 people, 5 smaller rooms for breakouts, 1 for an off-site office for the SMMC, and 1 for an operations center. A location is needed to host such an event in an environment that is elegant, stately, dignified, and conveniently located in the Washington, DC metro area, yet secluded enough to ensure maximum participation from all Sergeants Major, Master Gunnery Sergeants and Command Master Chiefs. SCOPE: For the large conference room, 7, 6' foot tables are required. Outlets for 10 computers, an IT Switch, and a multifunction device (copier/printer/scanner/fax). Set up needs to be Chevron style. In the afternoons on the 24th, 25th, and 26th, the room will be separated into two (2) rooms for breakout sessions. The room will be separated when the principals break for chow at 1130 and be ready by 1300. Another area will be broken out into the four (4) separate breakout rooms (A, B, D, E) the entire time from the 20th to the 27th of July. Breakout room C is to be utilized from the 20th to the 27th of July as a breakout room and office. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The SMMC Symposium and Summit will take place 20 July through 27 July, 2018. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: TBD WORK REQUIREMENTS: N/A SCHEDULE/MILESTONES: N/A ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA: Acceptance will be made upon completion of the symposium and summit. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: N/A
