THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION OR SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This notice is a market research tool used for planning purposes only to determine the availability and capability of small business sources prior to issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, VA is seeking to identify eligible small business firms capable of providing both land based mobile cranes and floating crane derricks at Naval Station Norfolk, Norfolk, VA and other Navy Bases within a 50 mile radius of Naval Station Norfolk to include Naval Weapons Station Yorktown and Cheatham Annex site. The equipment and personnel are to support the in-house BSVE workforce. This BSVE service is a means of acquiring mobile crane services, both land based mobile cranes and floating crane derricks services within short- time requirements. The crane rentals will include certified crane operators and also provide for qualified rigger services. The Contractor shall provide personnel with the qualifications, technical knowledge, experience and skills required for efficient operations within the BSVE function.
