Description

Network Contracting Office 7 intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm-fixed price contract for Project 679-16-101, Electrical Upgrades located at Tuscaloosa VAMC, 3701 Loop Road East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404-5088. Contractor shall supply all labor, material, supervision, equipment, travel for general construction, alterations, sitework, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, finish and repair work including necessary removal of existing structures construction other items required for a completed project. Work includes replacement of electrical panels, breakers, transformers, wiring, labeling, and other electrical work as required by drawings and specifications. Period of Performance is 480 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available at www.fbo.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on this website. All parties must obtain solicitation documents and amendments to the solicitation through FBO. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all contractors to frequently check the website for all notices, amendments, etc., regarding this solicitation. The Government will not be responsible for any notification not sent or received by the contractor regarding the solicitation. The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures. This project is being solicited as a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB). The offerors must be listed in the Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov at the time bids are received. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15.0 million. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The formal solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about March 19, 2018. Telephone calls will not be accepted. Note: The above description of work is for general information only and is not intended to include and describe every feature or item of work or to define the scope of work. THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE AND NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID. This notice does not commit the Government to award a contract. Any costs incurred because of this announcement shall be borne by the contractor and will not be charged to the Government for reimbursement.
