Description
J & A CBP Justification and Approval for awarding to a single source. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under authority of FAR 6.302-1 (b) with Hunz & Hunz Enterprises, Klondike Highway, Skagway, AZ 99840 construct, and install four (4), prefabricated steel open sided two (2) vehicle carport structures with concrete footings and pads in front of and between CBP Single Family Modular Housing Units that are located in private sector leased property. The contractor will conduct utility survey and analysis of the property and locate all underground and above ground utility accesses, power poles, ground clean out covers, drainage, sewer/septic lines and access covers, to determine the locations of underground utility and infrastructure placements in order to not cover or damage those placements with the new concrete driveway pads, or damage the utilities through the placement of new carport post footings. Contractor to provide, and construct four (4) individual open sided steel carport structures in front of the designated CBP Single Family Modular Homes as listed above with concrete driveway pads and footings to attach the pre-fabricated steel carports equal to or greater than Steel master brand, open sided, arched roof carport with a minimum size dimensions of 28'wide x 20.5' long, x 10' high ground clearance to allow high profile pickup trucks to park under the structure. Due to the terms and conditions of the GSA commercial land lease in which the CBP owned housing units reside, the Lessor has first right of refusal on any construction or development by CBP on the lease land. Hunz & Hunz Enterprises being the Lessor "will not" "waive the first right of refusal" for the construction of four double car carports. The period of performance shall be from 03/15/2016 - 09/14/2016. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332311, size standard 500 employees. This is not a request for quotes, and no formal solicitation will be issued. This notice is for information purposes only.
