Description

IAW FAR Part 6.302-1, the Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 16 Network Contracting Activity, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Illumina, Inc., 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego, CA 92122 for Human Methylation 450 DNA Analysis BeadChip kits. This requirement is for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Arkansas Veteran HCS, 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, AR 72205. NAICS 334516 applies. The items must be compatible with the Illumina IScan equipment currently in use at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Arkansas Veteran HCS, 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, AR 72205 and only Illumina can fulfill this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. However, any qualified vendor that determines it can meet the government's requirements may give written notification through e-mail to the Contracting Officer, Tammie.chaney@va.gov no later than May 22, 2015, 1:30 P.M. CT. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
