- SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size standard $33.5 Million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds will be required. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, capability/resources, equipment, and bonding capacity to repair the shoreline and improve resiliency from future storms, at SFO Moriches, 100 East Moriches Island Rd., East Moriches, NY 11940 (Suffolk County). Work includes, but is not limited to: Re-establishing approximately 550 feet of shoreline; creating a protective berm along the shoreline using borrow material (approx 1430 CY) from onsite dredge spoils pile; and planting Cape American Beachgrass on berm; re-grading area adjacent to main entrance road and create shallow swale to facilitate proper surface drainage; and, related incidental work. The performance period is estimated to be 70 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. This is a Hurricane Sandy Repair project and local area set-aside preference may be considered. Local area preference will include interest from businesses residing in or primarily doing business in NY, NJ and CT as follows: NY - Suffolk and Nassau Counties, Richmond, Kings, Queens and New York Counties; NJ - Ocean and Monmouth Counties, Middlesex, Union and Hudson Counties; CT - Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, and New London Counties. Your response should include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as prime contractor, and a statement as to your primary business location; (b) a statement identifying your certified small business designation (if any); (c) evidence of bonding capacity to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals; and, (d) evidence of specialized experience similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers -- i.e., Shoreline replenishment and repairs and drainage/grading work. Your response is required no later than 14 March 2014. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
