Description
Washington Demilitarization Company, LLC a subsidiary of URS (URS) will be issuing a sole source fixed unit price award to Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) for staff augmentation. This is considered a follow-on award as SwRI recently completed a cost-plus award for similar services, but on a larger scale. CLIN 0001- Closure Assistance. Subcontract effort includes development of facility turnover packages to meet contract closeout needs, development of lessons learned and information sharing regarding the PBCDF UMT processes for other baseline demilitarization sites, developing facility disposition reports IAW site plans for all buildings/facilities/areas of the PBCDF, and technical support for potential questions during the demolition phase of the project. Subcontractor will also provide support for any other project requirements to support closure milestones. CLIN 0002 - Property Assistance. Subcontractor will perform limited aspects of technical supply management work related to PBCDF supply activities. Work is usually segregated by commodity or function and controlled in terms of responsibility. Subcontractor must also be able to perform the physical functions of the position. Award will be for a five month period (October 1, 2012 through February 28, 2013) with no guarantee that both positions will be needed for the entire duration. Sole source award is based on FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy agency requirements. This is considered a follow-on subcontract as the scope remains the same for the remaining two employees. All correspondence relating to this synopsis must be in writing.
