- NOTICE OF SUPERCEDING LEASE - SIMPLIFIED Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare Systems (SLVHCS) New Orleans, La 1.IDENTIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION OF ACTION BEING APPROVED. The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System (VA) New Orleans, Louisiana is issuing a superseding lease to Preferred Realty Inc., on a temporary basis, for a term of one (1) year with one option year. This temporary superceeding lease allows the VA to maintain current operations while it determines how much space will be needed for the future. The VA is in an approved holdover of lease V629-1472 utilized for its' Kenner Vet Center. The VA occupies 2,724 rsf of space The current holdover ends on June 14, 2012. The Center continues to define it's mission requirements for a new lease for this operation. This lease period allows VA to complete it's assessment of new requirements for space and when complete to then pursue a permanent long term lease that fulfills the best interest of the VA and its' mission. The Kenner Vet Center will remain in operation as the SLVHCS determines its' space requirements for future operations. There are no changes to the current lease space and the space will remain unchanged until terminated. No relocation is required. 2. DESCRIPTION OF THE SUPPLIES OR SERVICES REQUIRED. The SLVHCS requires 2,724 rsf of office space for the operation of a Veterans Center. The lease for this space will lapse or be terminated upon the SLVHCS acquiring a competitive permanent lease that will fulfill the requirements for the future operations of the Kenner Vet Center. The VA will consider other offers if it is in the best interest of the government, all associated costs considered (moving, construction, utility and IT infrastructure, furnishing, cost benefit, etc.).
