Description

This is a sole source procurement. The selected vendor already has the infrastructure in place to support the eDocs application as they originally provided the programming support to deploy the system. DLA Document Services requires this leverage of expertise as eDocs was a COTS product that has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of the end users and cannot be replaced with a new solution at this time as it is already in production. The expertise leverages several software programs that have customized this solution to include: JAVA, Oracle, SQL, Visual Basic, DocWorks, and Windows 7 environment to perform the additional functional requirements outlined in the Scope of Work. This system is already in full production, and the government has already invested $700,000.00. To procure a new system and/or vendor would cost significantly more than the cost of this action.
