It will be used to maintain clean and dry oil in the reservoir of a governor control system. The filter system must be a true offline system, circulating the oil in the reservoir. It shall be capable of removing solid impurities to achieve an ISO Code rating of 14/11 or better. The system shall be capable of removing water content to a dryness level of less than 200 PPM under normal operation of the turbine. The filter must also be able to remove varnish, sludge, and other oxidation byproducts. The system will be operated in a controlled environment. Ambient temperature range will be approximately 65 to 100 degrees F. 2.2FILTER SYSTEM SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH THE FOLLOWING The Offline Filter System shall be a C.C. Jensen type HDU 27/54 MZ or an equal with the following features: 1.Flow rate of 5.0 GPM is required. 2.The pump shall be a gear style pump. 3.A relief valve is required in the pump and it shall be set at 38 PSI.4.) 4.No bypass valve is to be installed in or around the filter housing. 5.The filter must be drain tank or reservoir mounted with a pump and heater. 6.The oil heater elements shall be the low watt density type. The kW rating shall be 1.65 kW. The oil temperature shall be adjustable but will be factory set and controlled at 110 F. The heater must be designed to automatically turn off if the system shuts down for any reason. 7.The gear pump shall be mounted to the bottom of the filter housing allowing oil to flow outside-in through the cellulose or cotton media. Clean and dry oil shall be discharged from the base of the filter housing. 8.The filter must have an oil valve after the pump but before the filter to enable sampling from the bottom of the oil reservoir. 9.The double filter housing shall be approximately 32 in height and 14 in diameter. The filter housing cover shall be one section, having handles to allow for removal. The design pressure shall be 60 PSI and the design temperature shall be 176 F. An o-ring seal, 295 MM x 5 MM, shall be installed at the filter base, between the base and the filter housing. The top of the housing shall have an automatic air vent BSP, a top nut for securing the housing, and a liquid-filled pressure gauge. 10.The filter element shall be rated at 3 Micron Absolute and Beta 3 e 75. A total of 2 filter elements are required. The filters shall be approximately 10.6 in diameter and 10.6 in height. The filter must have a media of cellulose or cotton fibers bonded together and comprised of 14 stacked disks that are glued together. The filter must be able to incinerate completely without producing any harmful gases (less liquid/solids contamination). The filter media must not contain any other materials such as plastic or steel. 11.The filter must be sized to have a service life of at least six months after the first three months 12.A through bolt shall be installed at the base of the filter and run vertically through the filter housing. The filter shall be sealed at the base by means of a plate and sealed at the top by means of a spring housing. The top housing shall have a spring inserted and a nut that compresses the spring against the housing thereby sealing the top of the filter and preventing bypass. 13.If drain tank mounted, a ball valve shall allow for reclaiming oil drained into the tank when the filter insert is changed. 14.A drain valve shall be mounted at the base of the filter. 15.The minimum dirt holding capacity of the filter system shall be 2.1 gallon. 16.The minimum varnish removal capacity of the filter system shall be 14 pounds. 17.The minimum water removal capacity of the filter system shall be 1.0 gallon. 18.The system shall be designed to operate safely unattended. 19.Consumables such as filter elements, along with parts such as electrical motors and gear pumps shall be easily accessible for replacement. 20.The system shall be rated for industrial use and CE labeled. 21.All metal surfaces shall be painted with Primer 84061 and a top coat of Blue RAL 5021 or equivalent. ELECTRICAL: The system electrical operating current shall be 480 volt, 3 phase, 60Hz. Electrical components and wiring shall meet UL or CSA standards. MANUALS: The vendor shall supply at delivery, 4 sets of manuals covering the filter system supplied under this contract. Manuals shall include set up and operating instructions, spare parts lists, recommended periodic maintenance list, piping diagram, and complete machine electrical schematics.
