- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) WK4KBL9215N047 Request For Quote (RFQ) is issued. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. (iii) Applicable NAICS code to the below line items is 334310. ***See attached Salient Characteristics*** (iv) The above equipment is brand name or equal basis. The proposed equipment needs to be compatible with existing equipment. Offeror submitting equal item must provide technical description of furniture/equipment and show that it has the same features and functionality of the requirement. Offeror submitting brand name must still provide technical description of furniture/equipment. (v) Site Visit. Mandatory site visits can be scheduled with the contract specialist point of contact Mr. Andrew Christen (COM: (+49)0611-816-2208, andrew.e.christen@eur.army.mil) on 24 August 2009 at 1000 AM. ALL INTERESTED OFFERORS ARE REQUIRED TO VISIT AND INSPECT THE SITE OF THE INSTALLATION IN ORDER TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL CONDITIONS. PROPOSALS FROM OFFERORS WHO HAVE NOT MADE A SITE VISIT SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. (vi) Date of Delivery: Proposed Period of Performance 15 September 09 (begin de-installation) to 31 December 09, Place(s) of delivery and acceptance and FOB point: Heidelberg, Germany. Offers may be submitted by email or faxed to the designated point of contact. (viii) Vendors must be registered and active in Contractor Central Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov/. (ix) Award will be made to the responsible vendor with low priced technically acceptable quote that meets the required furniture/equipment. Award is all or none basis. FAR 52.211-6, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL (AUG 1999) and FAR 52.225-17, EVALUATION OF FOREIGN CURRENCY OFFERS (FEB 2000) also apply to this RFQ. Note: The applicable exchange rate will be obtained from the published rate by the US Federal Reserve Bank. (x) Offeror has to include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS--COMMERCIAL ITEMS (JUN 2005), with its offer. (xi) Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
