- Synopsis: The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to negotiate under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) sole source with the California Gang Investigators Association for the National Gang Violence Conference, California Gang Investigators Association, Anaheim, California 92802. This is a conference. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The sole source determination is based on the fact that the contractor has the space for the number of attendees. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. There is no solicitation available for this requirement. This requirement is classified under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 611430. This requirement will be awarded on April 30, 2009.
