Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Government Retirement Benefits (GRB) 330 John Carlyle Street, Suite 100, Alexandria, VA 22314 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, “Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” The Social Security Administration intends to purchase a subscription to the web version of GRB Assist. This software is used to perform calculation annuities for employees using their individual service history. The program was specifically developed by GRB for use by all federal agencies for consistent calculation of retirement annuities. As it stands, GRB is the only company that can provide this software. If SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, the agency will issue a sole source award for the software under FAR par 13, Simplified Acquisitions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal, and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of the information received. Verbal responses are NOT acceptable and will NOT be considered. Responses to this notice must be submitted by March 3, 2009, by 12 PM EST. Responses may be sent via E-MAIL ONLY to the point of contact listed below. NO PHONE CALLS OR FAXES WILL BE ACCEPTED. No submissions may exceed 5MB.
