- Description
- ******THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE W81EWF81571957 HAS EXTENDED THE RESPONSE DATE TO 07/15/2008 BY 4:00 P.M.CST********** ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY -With regards to the carpeting that is on top of the tiles, is said carpeting, while I know does not in its borders conform to the layout of the tile, in similar 2 ft by 2 ft squares as I presume the floor tiles are? Floor tiles are 2'x2', the carpet on top is 18'x18' -Are these carpet squares held down by reusable glue (i.e. when we pull them up can they just be put back down without any additional glue)? Yes -Also are these floor tiles the type that are 2 ft by 2 ft and made of about three layers of sheet metal with some concrete in them? They are computer room style floor tiles. They may or may not be filled with concrete; we have a mix of tiles. -I have asked a couple of CISCO suppliers of mine to provide me info/pricing on a part number listed in your SOW Cisco 1000Base-SX GE SFP I am getting the same replies back that they cannot find this part number, and they are requesting more of a description of the item, is there any way you can help me out in time for me to turn in my quote on time today? Cisco P/N GLC-SX-MM (Cisco P/N) -The solicitation mentions extra labor to get around the carpet. Could you please elaborate further on this? It just means that the glued carpet tiles do not align with the raised floor. Therefore, it may take a little bit more effort to move the floor tiles. -Are you looking to put any of the cabling in panduit or conduit under the floor? If so this could raise the cost. None for under the floor. Wire management as previously described only. -Do require us to turn up the Cisco switch? No -Do you currently have cable management under the floor? No -Do you require cable management under the floor? Yes. This was previously described. -Are the current runs of power and data separated? Yes The Panduit conduit or duct you're talking about- is it the ORANGE corrugated?? -If so, and you may only need 100feet, I guess I can quote the Carlon orange innerduct 2'... is that right? Plenum or Riser? Maybe your folks are saying this but it's really the white plastic raceway which protects cables running up walls, or do they really need innerduct. We are only talking about the white or almond colored plastic conduit that is normally used to hide wiring in office spaces. Nothing special. -What is meant by the carpet not meeting the edges of the tile, additional labor needed? Duplicate question. -Do the cables need to be in panduit under the raised floor or can they be tied to unistrut supports? Underfloor wire management was previously described using J hooks.
