- Contractor to provide full Architect/Engineering services as required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, including services throughout construction period for Project No. 581-304 Patient Privacy Improvements, 4 & 5 South for the VA Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. Full professional design services for a construction project to renovate the 4th and 5th inpatient floors to meet current VA criteria, with the minimum goal of eliminating all 4 bed patient rooms without losing current 80 bed count. Phasing to minimize disruption to medical center operations, interior design services, and certified fire protection engineer are also required. After award, the architectural team shall review VA criteria and standards to apply to design, meet the various VA representatives to discuss project, all as a basis of design requirements. Construction Cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Area of consideration is limited to a 500 mile radius of the Huntington West Virginia VA Medical Center. Firms desiring consideration must submit THREE copies of SF 330, not later than 2:00 PM CT, 8-7-08. This procurement will be open to both large and small businesses. NAICS 541310 with a size standard of $4.5 million is applicable. Contract award is subject to the availability of VA funds. A/E Selection criteria will include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for performance of required services; 2) specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firm with similar type projects; 3) past performance on contracts with Government agencies; 4) Location of A/E firm; 5) experience and roles of key design personnel, specifically on related projects; 6) cost control and estimating effectiveness. This is not a request for proposal. THREE copies of SF 330 should be mailed to Sherri-Lyn Teeters, Contracting Officer, Acquisition Service Ctr 90C, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
