Description
HSFEHQ-08-R-0021 Maintenance & Deactivation of Mobile Home Trailers Amendment 1 The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate the following new requirements as follows: 1. The Government reserves the right to increase the number of temporary housing units (mobile homes, park models, and other types of prefabricated housing) within the state of Kansas and therefore, incorporates FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of Service. Option 1 will remain unpriced and will be negotiated should additional services be required. The period of performance is as follows: Base: July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 Option 1: July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 FAR 52.217-8: July 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010 2. The contractor will provide all resources to include the administration, management, supervision, labor, supplies, tools and equipment to perform and support the long term maintenance and deactivation of sixty-four (64) remaining temporary housing units (mobile homes, park models, and other types of prefabricated housing) in Allen, Elk, Montgomery, Neosha, and Wilson counties, all located in Kansas. The pricing sheet both both DR-1699 (Greensburg, KS) and the above counties (DR-1711) are provided as an attachment. The site visit for DR-1711 will be 6/06/08, 12 noon at the Arco Building located at 200 Arco Place, Suite 445 in Independence, Kansas. The contact person is Nancy Drew. She can be reached at (620) 331-4687. Please contact her if you will be attending the site visit. Questions will be received from this site visit until 6/09 and answers will be posted on Fedbizopps.gov on 6/11/08. 4. DUE TO THE ADDITION OF DR-1711, PROPOSALS ARE NOW DUE 6/13/08, 2 PM. The attendance sheet from the May 15, 2008 site visit for DR-1699 is attached to this amendment. Questions from Contractors 1. Question: Are there any page limitations or Font requirements for the Kansas Maintenance and Deactivation Solicitation? Also, how many originals and copies should be made? Answer: Please submit two separate copies of your proposal each for your pricing and technical qualifications. There is a 50 page maximum allowed for both the pricing and technical requirements. The font size should be 12. 2. Question: We were wondering if you are only taking bids from local contractors or would it be worth our time to submit a proposal? Answer: This requirement has been reserved as a total local set aside to small businesses operating within the state of Kansas. 3. Question: (a) Can you tell me whether the above solicitation has an industry sized standards ceiling for employees or revenue? (b) Also, can you tell me if this small business set aside has any work allocation requirements similar to HubZone, SDVOB or 8(a) set aside programs? Answer: (a) The prime or dominant NAICS code is 238990 which has a size standard of $13 million. (b) This is a total local set aside to small businesses operating within the state of Kansas who meet all the other qualifications as stipulated in this RFP.
