Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice of a Request for Proposals for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision to furnish and install a complete code compliant combination fire alarm/security system at numerous buildings within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Brecksville, Ohio. The security and fire alarm system at the park shall be upgraded to integrate presently alarmed and non-alarmed structures. The work will update and replace the current alarm system within the park including historic and non-historic structures plus several dorm style buildings with overnight accomodations. Installation of line wire or wireless data transmission equipment including antennas and cabling that is narrow band compliant and compatible with a central controller to be located in the park's Communication Center. The scope of work will detail all work required and specific buildings and all complimentary work required. Award will be based on best value with all evaluation factors other than cost or price, when combined, are approximately equal to cost or price. Technical proposals will need to be submitted in addition to price proposals. The solicitation will detail the evaluation factors and subfactors with their respective weights which will be used to evaluate proposal submissions. The NAICS code is 561621. Proposals from all responsible sources will be considered. The solicitation with scope of work, wage rates, floor plans, evaluation criteria, etc., will be posted to the websites http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 28, 2007.
