Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking information and testing regarding a machine and film for wrapping ?cash packs? of United States currency. The BEP will supply simulated currency ?bricks? to potential offerors for wrapping and durability testing. Potential offerors will be required to wrap the simulated cash packs at their facility or the BEP facility, whichever the BEP deems more appropriate, and test them for durability according to the attached testing procedures. After testing, if performed at the facility of the potential offeror, potential offerors will be required to destroy the simulated cash packs in the presence of BEP personnel, or arrange to return the simulated cash packs to the BEP facility, as per a destruction plan to be submitted to the BEP before receipt of the simulated bricks. The BEP will inform potential offerors whether simulated cash packs are to be returned to the BEP or destroyed at their facility as details of the testing are discussed.
