Description
This synopsis is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The 89th Contracting Squadron Andrews AFB MD anticipates issuance of a solicitation for Grounds Maintenance Support for the National Executive Route located on Andrews AFB. The Government is soliciting information to determine the availability of capable contractors who can perform the following requirements in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement: 1) Grass mowing and edging of sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and other fixed concrete or asphalt obstacles; 2) Trimming of perimeter fences, trees, shrubs, buildings, poles, post, fire hydrants, boulders, and other fixed obstacles, such as sidewalks cracks, pavement joints, and parking lot bumper blocks; 3) Tree maintenance which includes trimming, pruning, and mulching Specimen Trees to ensure healthy growth and a professional, manicured appearance. All work to be performed must present a clean, neat, and professional appearance in accordance with the standards published by the Professional Grounds Maintenance Society, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the National Arborist Association, and the standards currently observed by Andrews AFB. The anticipated period of performance will be one year with four one-year option periods. Request contractors interested and capable of performing this function submit a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Past Performance References along with the following information: Name and address of company, Company Point of Contact, Telephone Number, Fax Number, and Email address. Identify your firm?s status, i.e. Small, Disadvantaged, HUBZone, Women-owned, Service Disabled Veteran owned, or 8(a). For purposes of this Request for Information (RFI), the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 0782, and the corresponding NAICS code is 561730. The capability package and ROM must be clear, concise, and complete and submitted to the 89th Contracting Squadron and contracting officer no later than 4:00 p.m., July 5, 2005. Please limit the capability package to ten (10) pages. Your statement of capabilities must include, as a minimum, the following items: 1) Contract references relevant to the requirement to include: Contract Number; agency supported, whether or not you were a prime or a subcontractor, period of performance, original contract value, final or current contract value, technical aspects of the services performed and phone/fax number, Procuring Contracting Office with current phone/fax number, and a brief description of the effort; 2) Company Profile: Number of employees, annual sales history, locations, security clearances, and DUNS number, etc. The Government is not obligated to award a contract resulting from this Request for Information.
