Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to purchase one (1) - DVWA500 Digital Betacam Editing Recorder with Analog Betacam SP Playback Capability, (2) - BKDW505 Analog Composite Input Board, (3) - RMM110/us 19" Rack Mount Kit for PVW Series VTRS. CDC believes that its requirements are met by only one provider, Sony Electronics, however all responsive sources that can meet the requirements listed herein may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency. Description of the requirements are: (1) One each - From Sony's high-end line of versatile Digital Betacam Editing Recorders, the DVW-A500 features analog Betacam SP playback capability, coefficient recording (component digital), pre-read capability for video and audio, SMPTE 259M serial digital V/A interface, built-in analog video and audio interfaces, optional composite analog input, and 4:3 and 16:9 capability. The DVW-A500 has been specifically designed for easy integration into existing analog systems. Built-in A/D and D/A converters for both audio and video signals allow for direct interfacing with analog equipment. Recognizable color pictures are provided in shuttle mode up to speeds of approx. 50 times normal playback. The DVW-A500 has a Program Play mode which allows video recordings to be reproduced over a range of 15% normal speed, in increments of 0.1%. (2) One each - Accessory; BKDW505 - Analog Composite Input Board. (3) One each - Accessory; RMM110/US - 19 " Rack Mount Kit. (1) One each for all three items above. Substitutes will not be accepted. If providing and FOB - Origin - estimate shipping charges. This is an all or none requirement. Delivery must be made within 90 days of purchase. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PRICING IS BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The following provision(s) apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (MAR 2000) applies to this acquisition; 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items (JAN 1999); the evaluation criteria stated in paragraph (a) of this provision are as follows: (1) technical capability of the proposed system to meet the requirements stated herein, and (2) price. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms & Conditions - Commercial Items (MAY 1999) applies to this acquisition. The following FAR Clauses are hereby added to this clause: The clause at 52.212-5 - Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in paragraph (b) of 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition: (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (12), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20) and (24). OFFERORS SHALL INCLUDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PROVISION AT 52.212-3, OFFERORS REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS - COMMERCIAL ITEMS, WITH YOUR QUOTE.
